Open Sports Odds provides models predicting the outcomes for major professional sports. The code to our models are freely available and people are encouraged to contribute on Github.
FiveThirtyEight was a statistical news website that provided projections for all major sports leagues. Following their acquisition by Disney, all FiveThirtyEight's sports models were shut down and the team maintaining them was laid off. Prior to acquisition, the methodology and model outputs were freely published on their website.
OpenSportsOdds works to continue these models in hopes of serving as an academic benchmark for model development and entertaining fans around the world.
